The rod is in near mint+ condition having just been lawn cast
Without a serial number or hangtag
which makes this rod supremely scarce
This one looks to be the earlier of the two we are selling
Blued guides and a handsome agate stripping guide
For sale here is a Payne Model 204L bamboo rod -- 8'6 3/2 4wt
The seat is void of any dents or major scratches
This grip has been shortened to nine corks as the hand is intended to curl under the overhang of the reel (what I call the southern PA style)
