The reel assembles and disassembles very easily
Size 3 1/2 with a diameter of 2 3/8"
The adjustable drag is very smooth with a silent incoming click
All sections are full length with a slight set in the butt and one of the tips
A few small dings and scuffs but excellent used condition overall

The swiss style ferrules are size 11/64 with a very nice fit
There is some very minor cracking in the varnish on some of the wraps near the ferrules (we call these casting cracks and love seeing them on the original Payne rods that have been used with care)
there is a bit of soiling
The reel weighs 6 3/4 oz
The first Wheatley features six small windowed compartments with an assortment of small dry flies and medium to small wet flies
