Hardy St. George 3 3/8" Fly Reel - three screw latchFor sale here is a leaded, three screw latch, large arbor 3 3 8" Hardy St. George fly reel in excellent condition. MKII check with both pawls engageable. Dark brown agate line guide is unblemished. Original and full length ribbed brass foot. The ebonite handle spins freely. Tensioner works great. Fine mechanical condition overall. The sale includes the later Hardy zippered reel case shown in like new condition.

I cannot identify the top 2 flies but they are a hair wing and feather wing variation of each other

Smooth and crisp with excellent recovery

as well as a rod that could be easily packed into remote headwaters

All sections are full length with very slight sets in both tips

The original script was saved in the refinishing process though it is a bit smudged
