1984 Squier (by Fender Japan) "JV Series" SST-30 Vintage Stratocaster (Sunburst)Part of the acclaimed "JV" series of guitars made by the Fujigen factory in Japan in the early 1980's, this is a Squier SST 30 model from the 1984 catalog (neck dated to January 1984). Nice dull brown sunburst finish on a basswood body with a very nice 21 fret maple neck, it weighs 3. 5kg's. This one was professionally refretted by Mick Harron when he was up here in Sydney doing one of his Masterclasses. The original Fender Japan ceramic single coils

Good overall vintage condition as pictured with light signs of playwear on the neck and body

Back/Sides - Rosewood

Seemingly a limited run that doesn't appear in Tokai's 2014 catalog

it's got the original roller-style bridge and trem system (missing the arm)

Pickup - Peizo

Factory loaded with Fender Texas Special single coil pickups and an aftermarket Sprague Orange Drop capacitor

Appears to be all original and is loaded with the original Fender Japan JB-VINTAGE pickups that sound very good

this was Fender's budget friendly reissue of the 1962 model Jazz Bass

the Sonare model was only available for two years and is a very rare offering from Yamaha

The unique shape of the Bass control adjusts the speaker's resonant response for the proper level of chest-thump during tight palm-muted passages

Well loved condition with plenty of play wear but no notable repairs or structural damage
