They measure approximately 4 1 8 inches across the base, and when fully extended are 3 3 4 inches in height. The lenses are clear and the fly wheel has a smooth action. This is a vintage black Lumured beaded purse or handbag "Corde-Bead" from the 1930's

with shiny bands of gold tone and silver tone raised alternating angled bands

including dings

and comes in a white handmade gift or carrying pouch

The gold tone chain adds an additional 6 1/2 inch drop

as well as a bit of scuffing
